We are stepping into another strategic week at Zoweh. Our team is now stepping into The Heart of a Warrior Encounter Weekend (March 22-25). The battle before the battle is always the days of inviting and recruiting. There is amazing hope displayed from so many who invite friends or family members, and we can support through prayers for readiness, favor, and courageous next steps. There is a great sense of anticipation from our team as registrations come in, several a day. We know that each of them have crossed a line and their story is amazing how God brought them to such a place. We’re also praying for several Fall 2018 events: the locations and timing for The Rendezvous Weekend, The Women’s Deepening Weekend, and The Heart of a Warrior Advance for Men. So many important and good

2018!!! It’s here and it’s moving! As we step into this year, THANK YOU for praying for us, over us, and against the enemy of Love, Life, and Freedom. It is an amazing thing to know we have won, the victory is ours and at the same time, enter into the battle and fight, engage, and claim this victory over our enemy. Satan and the kingdom of darkness is defeated, but they need to be shown, told, and fought against. Amazing and powerful. We know the work is done by Christ and that there is much work to be done because of how this part of the story will end and the next begin... Then I saw Heaven open wide—and oh! a white horse and its Rider. The Rider, named Faithful and True, judges and makes war in pure righteousness. His eyes are a blaze of fire, on his head many crowns. He has a Name

It started like most good ideas do, like most bad ideas for that matter... with a thought. Sometimes it’s a suggestion from a friend, sometimes it comes to the surface in your own heart and mind. Like a phone call I received back in February of this year. We were talking about The Heart of a Warrior weekends and possibly offering one in his part of the country. Tim has a big heart for this message and to see the hearts of men free. Then he said it, the idea crossed the ocean of his heart to mine... “You ever thought about offering The Heart of a Warrior in a YouVersion Devotional?” To which I replied, “What’s a YouVersion Devotional?” Tim went on to explain about the YouVersion Bible App and how a good friend of his is the content director. So Tim introduced us via email and explained a

Answered Prayer When I hear the words, they automatically catch my attention. And when I think more on it, we don’t hear them near enough. Prayer Requests, yes... Prayer Answers, not so much. Maybe it is the way we’ve been trained; at our bible studies, small groups, Sunday school classes… it's often one of the opening questions... “Are there any prayer requests?” No doubt it was/is encouraged by Jesus himself... Ask, Knock, Seek (Matthew 7:7) You have not because you ask not. (John 16:24) In no way would I want to imply we aren’t to ask or that somehow we could ask to much. It seems the delight of the Father that we come to Him with our hopes, concerns, hurts, requests. The question rises within me... How intent is my prayer that I am not watchful, expectant, paying attention as to how

This found me today, God put it in my path and I felt His nudge to share it with you... October 31, 1517 Martin Luther, a German priest and professor of theology, became front-page news by inviting debate on a pressing church issue—and touched off a history-shattering reform movement. On October 31, 1517, the 33 year-old Martin Luther posted 95 Theses on the door of the All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany. The door functioned as a bulletin board for various announcements related to academic and church affairs. His revolutionary discovery of Scriptural truth served as the catalyst for the eventual breaking away from the Catholic Church and was later instrumental in forming the movement known as the Protestant Reformation. Luther wrote his radical 95 Theses to express his growing

Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:7,8,13 (AMP) LOVE It is easily the #1 subject of the scriptures. Where the Bible is not talking about it directly, Love is continually in the backdrop, constantly in the forefront, and always between the lines... a immovable presence in which the Larger Story has both its

The heart of a man is very much like the sea, it has its storms, it has its tides and in its depths it has its pearls too. Vincent van Gogh Beauty and Wreckage and Restoration. It is the story of King David... it is the story of every man. I was privileged to see the recent release of the film, The Heart of Man (writer/director Eric Esau). It was a beautiful story of the wreckage lust brings when played out in a man's heart when beauty goes wrong and the redemptive heart of God to see all things restored. The combination of a short film, drama, and documentary of real life stories made for a flow of both dynamic imagination and disruptive truth. Like an x-ray reveals a broken bone, The Heart of Man exposes a brokenness and slavery far too common to men. And just as the x-ray does not heal

It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to. Bilbo Baggins J.R.R Tolkien The Lord of the Rings I watched a video the other day from a friend whose baby girl was taking her first steps. The little tike was propped up against a dresser and giving it her best "just hanging out" pose when her momma began to woo and invite her to come. Wobbly, and yet somehow determined, she half-pivoted and was off the safety of her perch, compelled to move, and just like that, committed to the next four feet. She was chunky and smiling. She looked like a fullback banging into the end zone through a goal line defense though there was no opposition to her movement other than she had never done

She gets up before everyone else and begins another day. Most days, her first meeting is with God; a few moments while the coffee is brewing or while it is still and quiet. Still and quiet will melt away in a matter of minutes and it won’t be that way again for 14-16 hours, when all heads are on the pillows and the wiping and arranging is done for the day. The early minutes bring a few important perspectives from a devotional book, or a tender chorus from a worship song, or maybe a few passages from the Bible that have been underlined many times in her heart… and she is ready to step into another day. Sure enough, the quiet is gone and she begins waiting the table, solving mysteries of hidden shoes, packing bags, and offering last minute tutoring. The next hour takes about 4 minutes to

We pray you are well and enjoying the summer days. As you may have seen or heard, our Zoweh Team is growing. We are welcoming Scott and Sherry Jennings, Greg and Kryssy Sailors, and Patrick and Jamie O’Bryan. More on these all stars in the weeks ahead but for now, we want to invite you to cover them with prayer. Also, these days of summer traditionally have Robin and me working on the Zoweh Allies (donor team) and our Administration in general (database, web renovations, and accounting). God has recently provided a matching funds initiative in which we are tremendously grateful that will significantly impact our ability to offer healing and restoration to hearts. The amounts are $25,000 match for new monthly donors or current donors increase (multiply a monthly amount x12 for the match,
