Matthew 11:28-30 (TPT)

The pack of lies produces the kind of man I call disoriented, badly motivating a man to hide, prove, or fear. No man escapes this condition, but every man can be freed from the presence and pain of the lies.

The weight of men’s packs may differ, but every man has an incredible amount of say as to whether he stays loaded up and weighed down or finds freedom.

Pausing to take off your shoe or unloading your personal pack is an act of the will. Standing firm against evil starts by asking God, Father, what is this held up in my heart? What am I carrying in me that is set against me? God has been waiting for you to ask, seek, and knock for quite some time. In response, he may take you into a memory, or he may take you into a current moment to bring the pain of the past to the surface again.

Whichever way he chooses, he is inviting you to do some good and important redemptive work by retracing your steps. Unpacking the lies of your past and giving them over to God opens you up to the new packages he has for you: gifts of redemption and restoration that make up your Belovedness.

The Heart of a Warrior

The Heart of a Warrior English

Men have a glorious and significant role in God’s Larger Story. They also are the target of a special warfare aimed continually and ruthlessly at the center of their being… their masculine hearts. Naivety and ignorance keep many men running in circles while misinformation and poor training keep many more in bondage. Men are wounded, frustrated, angry and being crushed under the weight of criticism and expectations. The attempted solutions of recent years is education; tell men what they are doing wrong and give them a list to memorize. This strategy isn’t working and its time we fall back to an Ancient One. What if we are setting men up for failure rather than helping them be free? Join author and guide, Michael Thompson, as he invites men to a place of training and orientation that will ensure both a settled heart and a fierce courage. A man cannot enter this battle without knowing he is a Beloved Son. After all, that is what the battle is all about!
