It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,  who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness  and redemption. - 1 Corinthians 1:30

"God is up to something in your life. There is a battle for you to engage in that is worth fighting. And there is a story for you to live that is far bigger and better than you have ever known.” - The Heart of a Warrior

Going back with God into some of the lines and paragraphs I wrote a few years ago is always a wild and often encouraging experience. On the pages of The Heart of a Warrior are collections of “discoveries” given to me by God as He and I explored the depths of my heart and the intentions of His heart for me. Often, I remember where I was and when it was that the truths were unearthed and “words” became my attempt to express the significance of these discoveries in my life.

This is the way for every heart's journey of discovery … the question is do we take the time to reflect, ponder, explore and come to some important conclusions? For so long I didn’t. Then one day, I did! That’s how wisdom always seems to go; one moment you don’t know, the next you do and all because you took some time to realize the weight and significance of a moment. More often it is the collection of several moments that God or the enemy is shaping our lives.

We all are a series of “conversions” and sometimes I have chosen well where to place my heart in an environment that God speaks and then there are the “other voices”… I love the times God has invaded my day to day with a package relevant for either my healing or training. God IS up to something in our lives, more than can be written about in a few paragraphs, much less 270 pages (the page count in The Heart of a Warrior). And thank God it is so. Healing and Training in belovedness, holiness, and loving are an ongoing collection of discoveries that must be entered into and deeply reflected upon! I invite you to take some time, think about what you're thinking. God is in the slow lane and meets me there as often as I am willing to merge into Him to discover His next package of more.

I hope you will consider taking some time away with God March 21-24 at The Heart of a Warrior Encounter … join us for a getaway with God where much will be explored and great Kingdom things will be discovered. Your seat is waiting and the questions are still … Are you awake? Are you ready? Do you dare to long for more?

But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin]. 1 Corinthians 1:30 (AMP)

The Daily Prayer - Paragraph 3

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me and choosing me before you made the world[3]. You are my true Father – my Creator, my Redeemer, my Sustainer and the true end of all things, including my life. I love you, I trust you, I worship you. Thank you for proving your love for me by sending your only Son, Jesus, to be my substitute and representative.[4] I open up my life anew to all of his Life and all his work, which you ordained for me.[5] Thank you for including me in Christ,[6] for forgiving me my sins, [7] for granting me his righteousness, [8]for making me complete in him.[9] Thank you for making me alive with Christ[10], raising me with him,[11] seating me with him at your right hand,[12] granting me his author- ity[13] and anointing me with your Holy Spirit.[14] I receive it all with thanks and give it total claim to my life.

The Daily Prayer Devotional

The Daily Prayer English
The Daily Prayer, is a prayer passed along and taught to us by John Eldredge and our allies at Wild at Heart. We have learned over the years that we used to pray for many things that we already possessed and truths that God has already given us. Therefore, instead of asking, we align our hearts with God and declare what is true.
