When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins. - Colossians 2:13

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Blockage…

It’s a word associated with something in the way.  The older I get the more and more it is connected to heart failure… arteries that are meant to flow and keep us moving are impeded, compromised, unable to work because something is in the way.

Who hasn’t experienced red tail lights for miles because something ahead or way ahead is in the way.   We will say, “We were at a dead stop.”

Mostly what God has done and is currently doing in the heart of His Image Bearers is getting everything in the way, out of the way of receiving his love.  Sin was… is the first obstacle and it is the last.  God made a way through Christ to take it all a way.  Now and since the resurrection God is showing us how to be alive… fully alive in Christ, through Christ and with Christ.

Being forgiven and living forgiven are two different things.

This is something God deeply wants to and has remedied.

Being afforded a Life yet living less, living stuck, impeded, blocked… dead is a tragedy of the worst kind.  The questions are where are we stuck, what is still blocking us from becoming who we truly are and maybe even the better question… why?

What am I believing that is in the way, blocking me from being me?

And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions, Colossians 2:13 AMP

The Daily Prayer - Paragraph 3

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me and choosing me before you made the world[3]. You are my true Father – my Creator, my Redeemer, my Sustainer and the true end of all things, including my life. I love you, I trust you, I worship you. Thank you for proving your love for me by sending your only Son, Jesus, to be my substitute and representative.[4] I open up my life anew to all of his Life and all his work, which you ordained for me.[5] Thank you for including me in Christ,[6] for forgiving me my sins, [7]for granting me his righteousness, [8]for making me complete in him.[9] Thank you for making me alive with Christ[10], raising me with him,[11] seating me with him at your right hand,[12] granting me his author ity[13] and anointing me with your Holy Spirit.[14] I receive it all with thanks and give it total claim to my life.

The Daily Prayer Devotional

The Daily Prayer English
The Daily Prayer, is a prayer passed along and taught to us by John Eldredge and our allies at Wild at Heart. We have learned over the years that we used to pray for many things that we already possessed and truths that God has already given us. Therefore, instead of asking, we align our hearts with God and declare what is true.
