Chapter 12: Warnings and Promises

The more I explored the subject of the Father’s Training, I found there is more to write!

As a man is learning to live as a Beloved Son and is being trained as a Warrior, he starts to see there is a “code” in which to live. By now, this should all be overwhelming. If it is not, a man could set out to do it through sheer will and determination. It is not possible that way. This is all a work that God does in you and for you and yet we do play a part. We show up everyday for training—asking, seeking, knocking. Remem- ber, our enemy has evolved with their lures, tricks, and temptations and so we must show up with our strength, our courage, and our cunning.

My biggest concern, and what I want to get across in this chapter, is the danger of a man stepping across the religious line and becoming a Pharisee—when a Beloved Son “goes religious” with this practice and becomes haughty, spoiled or prideful. It is a very real condition, one in which our enemy majors significantly.

Spiritual battle comes in various shapes and sizes. A man must battle/fight not to be- come religious and must defend against becoming a Pharisee. The religious spirit is always lurking and an ever present danger that wants to turn good men into spiritual performers, judges of others and religious accountants.

Our desire is to help men and women experience more love, more life, and more freedom by enjoying more intimacy, oneness, and connectedness with God and others. Zoweh is a partner supported mission. We'd love for you to partner with us!
