This past week has been another painful reminder of how many hearts are hurting out there. Believers and those who are yet to be are absolutely going through tough times. And we know the trials and hardships are expected, even promised... it was true for the followers of Jesus in the first century and it echoes true for today. The details have changed as life has had its advancements but it is still war and falleness and in need of hope and strength. "Come back Jesus come back and end this war ushering us back to the Garden"… until He does… we wage war...
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." - Ephesians 6:12
"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." - 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:8
We actually wage war with our prayers. We fight with our words and presence, loving and encouraging. We declare what is true, remind the enemy and enforce what God has given us to claim. We don’t have to ask for God’s presence He has already declared “I am with you always.” Instead, we enforce His presence, letting the darkness know, “we know your there, we see what you are doing and we are here to take back what you took… we can claim victory through Christ, enforcing our privileges as ambassadors. Whatever they are doing to our hearts, our families hearts and our friends hearts, we can intervene and intercede and remind the enemy they are defeated, we are victorious and on whose authority we are taking over any situation. The best way to dispel darkness is bring the light… you don’t have to ask for the light, you have it…. so joyfully we wield it. You have more power and authority than you know, Jesus gave it to you and wants to train you up in how to use it. It is actually a marvelous honor and pretty cool to boot.
After all, we live in a fallen place, we live with an adversary and we are at war!
So many days I wish it were not so, the longing for Eden is real amidst the inconveniences and worse, the pain of hurting loved ones; whether physical illness, mental, the battles with addictions or struggles with finances… there is much set against us. It is actually helpful to know and live in the context of war… it explains a lot. In the midst of such warfare, I pray we are invited to turn to hope and wield the power and authority granted to us by our King...
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. - 2 Corinthians 4:16-17
He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning. Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions (the demonic), and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. - Luke 10:18-19 (AMP)
So I invite you as Beloved Sons and Daughters, Citizens of the Kingdom and Image Bearers of God to exercise your options with us and for us in the Kingdom, your power and authority given you by our King to partner with Him and with us to bring Sight for the Blind, Healing for the Brokenhearted and the Prisoners set Free (Isaiah 61/Luke 4:18).
After all… We live in the greatest love story still being written.
Let’s bring the Kingdom!
Dear God, Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Spirit, we bow our hearts and heads, bend our knee to you as Creator over all, as Sustainer over all and as the Love and Life in our story inviting us to more. We take our place in your Kingdom, Jesus, to see your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We exercise our wills and proclaim freedom over all of Zoweh’s Team and the resources they are creating for freedom. We call forth blessing and favor over the mission of Zoweh, resources needed to fuel Zoweh and over the hearts we are moving toward to see more and more men and women wholehearted.
Come Holy Spirit in power and grace, guide us to the prisoners, guide us to freedom, guide and counsel us to Love and Life… teach us how to live the life of a son and daughter of God. We bind Satan and all his emissaries and all their work warring against Zoweh, the Team and those we are moving toward for freedom. Clear paths Jesus, send forth your Angels to remove the obstacles of the enemy laid in the way of hearts discovering who they truly are, how much you love them and the mission you want to entrust to them. We bring the Light of the Lord Jesus Christ against all darkness and bring the River of Life flowing from heaven to earth, wash us and fill us with water of Life. We chose to walk in the Light and live in the Life today for the advancing of your Kingdom Jesus. We pray this in the name of our Savior and King, Jesus, to whom all glory, worship and praise is due. Amen and AMEN.
