For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! - Romans 5:17

Grace is the voice that calls us to change and thengives us the power to pull it off. - Max Lucado

Who doesn’t love receiving a gift?

I have found that God is the greatest gift giver ever! Yes, Jesus is by far the #1 gift the Father has ever given and there is no close second. And yet, the Father is constantly delivering gifts of his love, affection and attention for me in my day to day. It is his love that compels me, moves me, awakens me to live in love and I seem to need to be reminded of his love in an ongoing way.

You do have to see them, by the way, to receive them. And if anything matters … everything matters. What can’t he use to get his message across to my heart …I love you today, I see you Michael, and I am so for you.

As God romances us, he is continually delivering tokens of his love. One of His most recent deliveries to my heart was in a song he played for me. It was an oldy on the Hymn charts but had been remade by Rend Collective … Be Thou My Vision. It’s now one of “our songs” and I wanted to share it with you. The words were/are crazy good and full of the Kingdom Life I live in Him and He lives in me. Enjoy …

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight; Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tow’r: Raise Thou me heav’nward, O Pow’r of my pow’r.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won, May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heav’n’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). - Romans 5:17 (AMP)

The Daily Prayer - Paragraph 5

Jesus, I also embrace you as my new life,[25] my holiness and sanctification, and I receive all the work and triumph of your Resurrection, whereby I have been raised with you to a new life, to walk in newness of life, dead to sin and alive to God.[26] I am crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.[27] I now take my place in your Resurrection, whereby I have been made alive with you,[28] I reign in life through you.[29] I now put on the new man[30] in all holiness and humility, in all righteousness and purity and truth. Christ is now my life,[31] the one who strengthens me.[32] Holy Spirit, apply to me the fullness of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ for me. I receive it with thanks and give it total claim to my life.

The Daily Prayer Devotional

The Daily Prayer English
The Daily Prayer, is a prayer passed along and taught to us by John Eldredge and our allies at Wild at Heart. We have learned over the years that we used to pray for many things that we already possessed and truths that God has already given us. Therefore, instead of asking, we align our hearts with God and declare what is true.
