"A Story Worth Living" Postscript

You know that feeling you get when that something or someone you had high hopes for goes wrong? The moment when circumstances and events go strangely and wildly "south" making a good idea in the eyes of some, bad? It is a second in time when the planning, preparation, and hopes are replaced by a reality in which there was no preparing for—a moment when something was switched and good intentions are received with a scowling, "What the Heck!"

The Lottery and Exploring Zoweh's Why

Over the past several months, I have had the opportunity to walk with God and a few good friends into the Vision, Mission, and Strategy for Zoweh in the weeks and months ahead. It has been a good and hard exploration but a very very clarifying one. It started with a challenge: What would you do if money were no obstacle? Seldom are any of us allowed to think or ponder.

Struggling Well

Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.

A Holy Overwhelming

"There is no passion to be found playing small…
in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."

Nelson Mandela

There is an invitation from Jesus to live humbly. Humility, contrary to popular misinterpretation, is not living in the shadows or small corners. Humility is an internal settled heart that knows who it is and lives with contentment, yet with fierce intention. Jesus was/is the expert and our greatest ally in becoming like Him.

It's You

Son of man reach out your hand & touch my weary heart.

Son of man reach out your hand & heal my failing heart.

It's you that I need... It's you that I need.

Son of man reach out your hand & touch my weary mind.

Son of man reach out your hand & heal my tired soul.

It's you that I need... It's you that I need.

It’s You, Loud Harp

Kingdom Seeds

"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.

On Guard

Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith (your conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength! Let everything you do be done in love (true love to God and man as inspired by God's love for us).

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (AMP)
