Last month, the Zoweh Team was honored to journey a few hours north of our home in Durham, NC, to Rockbridge, a Young Life Camp near Lexington, VA where we were joined by 280 men who were looking to get away with God and experience his love and care at the The Heart of a Warrior Encounter. 

For three and a half days, we got to guide these men through a journey into their own hearts' stories, with strategic time alone with God. The men were invited to connect intimately with God and receive words of counsel, care, affection, and attention.

It was glorious! 

These events are always one of the highlights of our year as a Team — so it was incredibly special when a number of men shared with us that this was the most impactful Encounter they've ever attended!

We want to share some of the stories of how God came and moved for the men!

Here's what one man wrote:

It's hard to believe that even as I am just turning 50, God is still able to reach, rescue, and work on my heart.

It's no accident that I found Zoweh. It's no accident that I came to The Heart of a Warrior Encounter.

Encounter is a profoundly appropriate word. "Overhaul," "Triage," and "Excavate," would be true as well. With this weekend, I've been given space to encounter Jesus and be changed by his redemptive love.

It's hard work, and it's worth it. And I can only imagine what's next For me, my wife, my son. Our future and impact.
